
Experimental Printmaking Course
SUNDAY 29th March to 28th June 10am to 2pm £320 Engage in experimental printmaking with this immersive, hands-on 8 session course. The programme is designed to introduce innovative techniques, and enable you to create your own distinctive individual prints. You will explore a variety of printmaking methods through a blend of instructed activities and creative experimentation. • Sessions 1–6: You will learn and explore different printmaking techniques with a focus on monoprint, tetrapak, and drypoint, offering a solid grounding in each. Additionally, methods such as monotype, chine colle, and embossing will be available to further your practice. • Sessions 7–8: In the final weeks, you will combine the techniques learned with your own personal style and skills to create a body of work which is informed by the knowledge you have gained on your printmaking journey. Through hands-on practice and guided creative exploration, you will: • Gain an understanding of different printmaking processes and what makes each unique. • Build confidence using professional equipment and experiment with a variety of materials. • Discover how mark-making can bring your ideas to life in print. • Develop greater creative confidence and technical skills. • Establish a strong foundation to develop your artistic practice beyond the course. We welcome participants of all skill levels. You will benefit from personalised guidance and support from an experienced tutor throughout. By the end of the programme, you will have produced a portfolio of unique prints that showcase your progression and creativity. This course will support and inspire you on your journey to becoming a confident and creative printmaker. All essential materials and equipment needed for the course are provided. This course will run fortnightly on Sunday mornings, from 10am to 2pm. Dates: 29th March, 12th April, 26th April, 10th May, 24th May, 7th June, 21st June, 28th June. Cancellation Policy
Bookings are non-refundable, but if you do find are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Up to 10 days before the event, you may reschedule your booking, subject to availability. After this time, no refund or cancellation is possible, but you are welcome to pass your booking on to a friend - just let us know. If you do reschedule your booking, this can only be done once in any six month period; subsequent rebookings will need to be paid for again. Please note, some workshops may not be repeated. No refunds or transfers will be given for no-shows.
