Japanese Stab Binding
SATURDAY 27th JUNE 10am to 4.30pm The full day of Japanese Stab Binding includes all materials. You will use hand printed, one of a kind suminagashi marbled paper, various decorative papers, chiyogami paper, linen or hemp thread and adhesive to make your own uniquely designed books. Tools are provided for use on the day. In the workshop you will learn about: • The selection of materials • Paper grain • Cover preparation • Various Four hole binding styles • Some common bookbinding tools and how to use them safely Classes are taught through practical demonstrations and supported hands on work. You’ll take away your unique handmade books, new skills, and the satisfaction and well-being that the investment of time into working creatively brings. Creative Courses is a multi-use creative space where you’ll meet new people, learn new skills, and be playful and creative in a relaxed, friendly environment. Tea and coffee, quality teaching, and materials are provided… you just turn up and enjoy your day. There is plenty of parking and the venue is 15 minutes walk from Faversham train station. Cancellation Policy
Bookings are non-refundable, but if you do find are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Up to 10 days before the event, you may reschedule your booking, subject to availability. After this time, no refund or cancellation is possible, but you are welcome to pass your booking on to a friend - just let us know. If you do reschedule your booking, this can only be done once in any six month period; subsequent rebookings will need to be paid for again. Please note, some workshops may not be repeated. No refunds or transfers will be given for no-shows.
