Monoprints: inspired by nature
SUNDAY 6TH JULY 10am to 4pm Join tutor and printmaker Anne Davison for this workshop which will introduce you to the print process of monoprint, using nature as an inspiration. What you can expect: Monoprint is one of the basic families of printmaking processes; great for those who love trying out creative techniques. In this workshop, you will experiment creatively with inks, dried leaves, stencils and textures using a printing press to produce multiple one-off monoprints based on nature. What to bring: • A packed lunch • Yourself! - Please also bring an apron or wear old clothes, things tend to get wonderfully messy. All other materials are provided What you'll take away • A selection of experimental monoprints • An understanding of the monoprint process, and lots of inspiration Suitable for: This session is designed for people with little or no knowledge of printmaking, but also great for experienced printmakers as a refresher, or just for enjoyment! The emphasis will be on experimenting and having fun, rather than precision printing. Your tutor: Anne Davison is a well established textile design artist, with a worldwide spread of clients and collectors. She is also an experienced tutor. You can read more about Anne on our Tutors page. Tea and coffee is provided, and you are welcome to use our small kitchen. There is a corner shop a short walk away, and parking at the weekend is easily available just outside. We're on the first floor.
